Government Policy
The Malaysia Incorporated Policy
Dr Mahathir first announced the Malaysia Incorporated Policy during the launch of INTAN Forum on 25th February 1983. The necessity for the Malaysia Incorporated arose when there were public and private sector that failed to cooperate in terms of the organization?s objectives and goals and the lack of communications between the two sectors. Both sectors will reap benefit through such cooperation in the form of higher profit and growth for the private sector and higher revenue collected for the government.The main objective of Malaysia Incorporated is that the private and the government should work closely together in a manner where both of these sectors will gain benefits from this cooperation.
