Care of Cats - the Responsible Way
|

Being a
responsible cat owner involves more than just deciding to
take a lovely early morning drive to your local shelter.
Once you arrive there, it is quite easy to allow any number
of needy and deserving kitties to steal your heart and to
select one (or more!) for your very own. You arrive at home
with your new addition – so what do you do now? cat care
It is true cats are pretty low-maintenance. Food, shelter,
water and litter are their basic needs. But there are other,
equally important requirements which must be provided. The
bottom line: Being a responsible cat owner – or caregiver,
or guardian or whatever other politically-correct term you
like – takes time, effort, education, commitment and the
financial resources to pull it all together.
Plan ahead
It's always best to do your homework BEFORE you bring your
new kitty home. Doing your homework means researching how to
properly introduce your new kitten to your resident cat(s).
Making sure that the new kitten or cat has been properly vet
checked prior to any contact with other animals in the
house.
